EMDR
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps you reprocess painful memories and experiences. These past experiences might show up in your present life as anxiety, depression, anger and/or relationship challenges.
Many clients are surprised by how efficient and lasting the effect of EMDR is.
EMDR regulates the nervous system and can help balance your mood and make you feel much more at peace, as well as improve communication, boundaries, and relationships.
Internal Family Systems
IFS is frequently used as an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.
Mindfulness and Breathwork
Mindfulness primarily involves observing and accepting one’s thoughts and emotions, fostering mental clarity and emotional regulation, while breathwork focuses on manipulating the breath to induce physiological and psychological changes. Both practices offer valuable tools for holistic well-being and stress reduction, but they employ distinct methods to achieve these goals.

About me
Hello-I’m Nicole and I love being a therapist. I’ve been in practice for almost 20 years and have found EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and the psychodynamic methods to be most helpful to my clients. My foundational training is in the Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches as well as somatic work and mindfulness/meditation. I also draw heavily on my training as a couple's therapist. I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals and families as both an educator and a therapist.

I love helping people to figure out why certain feelings or patterns appear in their lives (insight!) and how to shift those patterns (change). I often use metaphor, humor and material from previous sessions to help integrate the shifts from week to week.
